“THIS WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE TO PLANT A CHURCH”
In the fall of 2018 I was on my way back to Kentucky from Kansas City, MO visiting a church plant with some friends. As we drove through St. Louis on I-70 I felt the Holy Spirit whisper to me:
“This would be a great place to plant a church.”
Over the course of the last 7 years the Lord has been speaking to me about going to St. Louis and planting a church where His presence would rest and His glory would be evident. In my times of personal prayer I would often find myself being led to intercede for God’s purposes for the city.
Not only has God been placing a burden on my heart for St. Louis, but He has been grafting my wife and I’s heart into the greater story He is writing over the city. In multiple visits over the past few years, we have seen miraculous connections and prophetic alignment that we are tracking in the right direction.
VISION
St. Louis is a city that has been at the epicenter of much of American history. It’s a beautiful city with diversity and influence, along with scars and open wounds. A city with tremendous potential that is also marred with the residual effects of racism, poverty, and injustice. We believe God longs to change the narrative of this city. Not only that, we believe that God desires to use His Church to be the Kingdom carriers for change in St. Louis.
We have a simple mandate from the Lord when it comes to the vision of Radiant City: To host His Presence and reflect His glory to our city. Without His presence, we have nothing, with His presence, we have everything we need. Jesus said He would build His Church, and we recognize that all things were created by Him and for Him. The best thing we can give to our city is not our best programs or grandest ideas, but the simplicity of His Gospel that has the power to transform any life.

Spiritual blessing and covering are essential foundations for any healthy church, providing protection, accountability, and alignment with God’s purposes. Radiant City Church is not launching in isolation—we are being sent with the full blessing and spiritual authority of a proven family of faith. We are honored to be commissioned by the Radiant Network, a thriving Spirit & Truth community of churches across North America, committed to the presence of God and the power of His Word.
Our sending church, Radiant Church Kalamazoo, under the leadership of Pastors Lee and Jane Cummings, has poured into us with wisdom, prayer, and relational support. Additionally, we carry the legacy and spiritual DNA of Radiant Church Kentucky, where Pastors Jeff and Dina Hackert (Spencer’s Parents) have modeled a lifetime of faithful ministry. This covering isn't just symbolic; it represents a lineage of revival, biblical depth, and apostolic sending that we are privileged to walk in.
Radiant City Church goes forward rooted in unity, released in power, and surrounded by a spiritual family committed to seeing the Kingdom of God expand in St. Louis and beyond.
